I had to take notes on what Blackjack, Jackson, and their spouses were all about. I had to know the real facts as well as the made up ones. Technology helped a lot while doing this. I had to stalk out Amanda's facebook page to find a picture of her looking forward -- since her twitter was facing the side. Now, we are friends on facebook so I don't feel as creepy.
The magazines were hard to come up with at first. I downloaded pictures to different sites to see what one made a more realistic magazine cover. Then, I took a screen shot of that and downloaded an editing program on my Macbook called Seashore. I added in a couple things that I knew I would be talking about in my People magazine article.
I also had to do some research. I had to look up how many babies Kevin Federline had before he had a child with Lola. Thank you Wiki! For REAL research, I would have stayed away from Wiki -- but since the point of my magazine article was to be as false and outrageous as possible, I ran with it. I also wanted to keep it anonymous so I signed my name "A".
Overall, I really really enjoyed writing and collaborating with every one in class. It's not often you get a really good class of writers who are willing to let inhibitions go and just write. We all worked really well. I think it would be fun to see if we could make up a drama, love story type "play" like we did with the Wrestling Real Tough 2.
